24 Mar Sixers My Brother’s Keeper Mentoring Art Contest Judging Day

MentoringArtContestOn March 16, the judging for the Sixers My Brother’s Keeper Mentoring Art Contest presented by PECO was held. The judging panel was comprised of five distinguished representatives from the City of Philadelphia, PECO, Mural Arts Philadelphia and current Sixers player, Robert Covington.

The judges were highly impressed by the 60 mentorship-themed visual and literary artwork that was submitted by Philadelphia youth in grades 1 through 12 as demonstrated by their meticulous deliberation. The 17 elementary, middle and high school winners of the Mentoring Art Contest will be recognized in-arena at the March 29th game and will experience a post-game Meet and Greet with Robert Covington.

Through a multitude of in-arena recognitions and Sixers Youth Foundation programs, the Sixers positively impact youth in the Greater Philadelphia Area not only during the Mentoring Art Contest, but throughout the entire season. The Sixers recognize that mentoring helps cultivate strong youth and strong communities with promising futures.

Help our young people develop into the next generation of innovators and leaders.
