76ers Beautify Tilden Middle School

21 Sep 76ers Beautify Tilden Middle School

We hosted an all staff volunteer event at Tilden Middle School in South-west Philadelphia. Over 150 Philadelphia 76ers employees, including CEO Scott O’Neil and the Sixers entertainment teams, worked alongside more than 15 Tilden Middle School teachers and Principal Brian Johnson to clean and beautify classrooms in preparation for the start of the fall semester on September 7.

Volunteers, including representatives from the City of Philadelphia Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service, packed and distributed Sixers classroom kits to prepare the school’s 480 students for the coming school year with Sixers spirit.  Readiness efforts also consisted of adding new basketball nets to all outdoor and indoor courts.  This was part of the Philadelphia 76ers “Project 76” employee volunteer initiative, through which all Sixers’ employees pledge 76 hours of community service annually to support communities where Sixers’ fans live, work and play.

Help our young people develop into the next generation of innovators and leaders.
